Description: US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award one (1) firm fixed-price, contract with The Dalles Disposal, PO Box 498, The Dalles, Oregon, 97058. The Dalles Disposal will provide garbage service at The Dalles Dam and Seufert Park, commencing 01 January 2001. The Dalles Disposal is a sole source vendor and has a franchise with Wasco County Court through December 2010. Statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1)and FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize and can furnish the required items are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer, which may permit their participation in the current or future solicitations.
