Description

Furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision for pickup of recyclable cooked grease to include frying fat from miscellaneous buildings at Fort Knox, Kentucky, during the period 1 March 2001 through 28 February 2002. Contractor shall furnish containers for storing grease and frying fat at collection points. Contractor shall furnish vehicles and equipment required to perform the required services. Contract calls for monthly pickups and in between monthly pickups during peak seasons. The amount of grease and frying fat generated at Fort Knox is estimated between 50,000 and 70,000 pounds annually, inclusive of all buildings. Interested contractors shall submit a proposal based on one of three choices. Award will be made to the contractor offering the price arrangement most advantageous to the Government. Price arrangement options are listed in order of preference and are as follows: Option 1 -- The contractors pays the Government for the actual amount of product picked up; Option 2 -- The contractor picks up product at no cost to the Government; Option 3 -- The Government pays the contractor for pickup of product. This solicitation is unrestricted, all responsible parties may submit a bid. The solicitation will be available on or about January 2, 2001 with proposals being due on or about January 19, 2001.
