Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office plans to issue Solicitation Invitation For Bids (IFB) Number 51002-6204 for the construction of a new powerhouse (approximately 12,000 square feet) at the Federal Correctional Institution La Tuna, Texas Highway 20, located two miles south of Anthony, Texas, 79821. The scope of work includes general construction, hazardous material abatement, site clearing and earthwork within the confines of the Federal Correctional Institution La Tuna. The successful contractor will be required to furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to complete the work within the specified performance period of 364 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 with the current size standard $27.5 million in average annual receipts. All interested sources are encouraged to participate. The solicitation will be available on or about January 4, 2001 with an anticipated bid opening date of February 12, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. (Mountain Daylight Time) in the front lobby of the Federal Correctional Institution La Tuna in Anthony, Texas.
