- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requires a self-contained laser- pumped tunable optical parametric oscillator (OPO) system described as follows: The laser pump is to consist of a frequency-doubled pulsed Nd:Yag laser operating at nominally 10-20 Hz. The Nd:YAG laser shall have a captive closed-cycle cooling loop that requires no external cooling water. The OPO shall be tunable from approximately 690 nm to 2400 nm. A gap in the available tuning range from 950 nm to 1200 nm is acceptable. In the tuning range from 700 nm to approximately 900 nm the OPO shall produce pulses at the pump laser repetition rate with the pulse energy in excess of 3 mJ per pulse. Over this tuning range, the linewidth may vary in the range = from approximately 1.6 nm to 3 nm and the pulse-to pulse amplitude stability should not exceed 10 per cent. The pulse width of the OPO output shall be nominally 5 ns. Tuning the OPO system will be done by means of a computer (supplied by the user) that communicates with the OPO system = by means of an RS232 port. Software that enables the tuning shall be provided by the vendor in the form of executable =93Labview=94 = compatible code. The warranty on electrical and mechanical components shall be a minimum of one year and the warranty on optical components shall be a minimum of 90 days. The system shall be delivered within 90 days after receipt of order by the vendor. All responsible sources may submit a quotation and product description. Responses are due via mail or FAX = by January 2, 2001. No RFQ package is available. This procurement is = being conducted per Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13 (NTE $100,000). FAR Clauses in full text are at http://www.ARNET.gov/far/. Terms and conditions and agency level protest procedures are referenced at http://www.doc.gov/oam/conops/#reference
