Description

GSA is announcing its intent to enter contract agreement(s) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The contract(s) will be a fixed price effort to consolidate outbound 800 network access at various GSA locations with Region 5. The requirement is for the government to realize a positive revenue flow based on the anticipated monthly outbound 800 traffic. Use of McLeodUSA Telecommunications Services, Inc., is being considered to satisfy the Government's requirements. No other service provider is known to be capable of providing positive revenue to the Government and meet the technical service requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation, reference Number 5TS5701C800. NAICS Code 513310, Local telephone carriers (except wireless). Size standard is 1,500 employees. This requirement is to provide positive revenue to the Government as a result of consolidating outbound 800 network access. Period of performance is anticipated to be December 2000 through December 2001, and extended upon annual review for a total period not to exceed ten years. FAR 52.252-2 applies to this acquisition.
