Description

This is a modification to a previous notice dated June 15, 2000. The plans and specifications for this project are expected to be issued on or about January 2, 2001. The bid opening is expected to be on or about February 6, 2001. The notice to proceed is expected to be issued on or about March 26, 2001. The successful contractor shall furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to remove an inooperative solar heating system, and replace with geothermal-coupled heat pump; rehabilitate balance of HVAC system and controls; and construct 1,630 square foot office addition, and new entrance to existing basement. The project is located at the Madison Wetland Management District Office, Madison, South Dakota. The period of performance is estimated to be 300 calendar days. Government Estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. Liquidated damages shall be $33.00 per day. Bid bond (20% of bid amount), performance bond (100% of contract amount), and payment bond (100% of contract amount) will be required. The project is open to both large and small businesses.
