Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a fixed price incentive fee modification under NAVAIR contract N00019-99-C-0049 for the low rate initial production (LRIP) of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS). Four TTWCS LRIP units will be procured in FY 01 and an additional five (5) TTWCS LRIP units will be provided as an option for FY 02. The LRIP units will be a mixture of submarine and surface combatant configurations. Installation of the LRIP units, TTWCS crew training, technical data, and installation and training development will also be a part of the proposed modification. LRIP installation, TTWCS crew training and technical data will also be provided for as an option in FY 02. NAVAIR intends to negotiate the proposed modification on a sole source basis with Lockheed Martin Management and Data Systems, King of Prussia, PA. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor for the development of the TTWCS. Only Lockheed Martin has the technical expertise, understanding of the TTWCS system architecture, and access to Lockheed proprietary data necessary to perform the required effort. See Note 22
