Description

This is a firm-fixed price three-year requirements procurement for subject item. Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) for basic year is 114 each. BEQ for first and second year is 363 for each year. Size and Dimensions: 15' diameter -- oblong shape. Form, Fit and Function: Provides flotation for downed aircrew members until rescued. Predominate material of manufacture: Polyurethane coated nylon cloth. Application: Multiple aircraft. Delivery Requirements: 100 each within 90 days after receipt of award. Qualified Products List (QPL-9131-27) dated 22 May 2000 applies. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Qualified sources on QPL-9131-27 dated 22 May 2000 are: Switlik Parachute Co, Inc, Trenton NJ 08609; Patten Co Inc, Lake Worth FL 33461 and Apical Industries Inc, Oceanside CA 92056. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.
