This is a combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. Quotes are solicited with this notice. The quotation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-20. The Television-Audio Support Activity proposes to procure the following items manufactured by Belden Cable and Wire Co.: Part Number 8773. Quantity: 9000 Feet Audio/Data Cable; 27 pair; 22 gage stranded conductors (7x30); individually shielded; polypropylene insulated; overall chrome PVC jacket; supply in 1000 foot spools. Part Number 8774. Quantity: 1000 Feet of Audio Cable; 22 gage; stranded conductors (7 x 30); 9 pair; tinned copper, polypropylene insulated, twisted pairs; each pair individually shielded w/beldfoil aluminum-polyester shield & 22 AWG stranded tinned copper drain wire; overall chrome PVC jacket; supply in 500 foot spools. Part Number 9945. Quantity: 5500 Feet of Computer Cable for EIA RS-232 applications; 22 gage; 9 stranded conductors (7 x 30); tinned copper, S-R PVC insulated, multi-conductor w/overall beldfoil aluminum-polyester plus 65% minimum tinned copper braid shield; chrome PVC jacket; supply in 500 foot spools. FOB destination to T-ASA in McClellan CA 95652. Urgent delivery date requested is 5 Jan 01. Partial deliveries are acceptable in spool lengths specified. The Brand name and part numbers have been identified as meeting or exceeding the Government's minimum requirements but are not established as standards upon which other offered brand named items will be evaluated. Offeror's proposing to provide other than the requested item shall include specification data sufficient to enable the Government to determine the capability of the offered item to meet the specifications stated above.
