Description

This sources sought synopsis is being issued by the Ohio Air National Guard, 180th Fighter Wing Swanton Ohio Base Contracting Officer as a notice of intent to place a firm fixed purchase order based on fund availability with IFR Americas, Inc., 10200 W. York Street, Wichita, Kansas, 67215-8935. This potential firm fixed purchase order will be for TS-4317-1 Radio Test accessories. The SPECIFICATIONS for the accessories are: (a) J-1601A Generic RPM Housing; (b) RPM2H AF Radio Personality Module with half quick testing capability; (c) PS-001 Programmable Power Supply; (d) LK-204 RPM2H Lockout Key; (e) TF 204 Bit Test Adapter for RPM2H; (f) ON-RSC W4 ARC-164RT-1505 test cable; (g) ON-RSC W7 ARC-186 TR- 1300 test cable and (h) ON-RSC W2 ARC-222 C10604 test cable. Pricing per each accessory will be accepted on a brand name basis only. These accessories will be used to update the current TS-4317-1 test equipment currently on hand within the 180th Fighter Wing Avionics branch inventory. The accessory units are needed to work in conjunction with the previously purchased TS-4317-1 Test Set. This action is not being set-aside for small business, as IFR Americas, Incorporated, a large business, is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government's minimum requirement. It is believed that IFR is the only source who is capable of providing the above items since IFR is the original equipment manufacturer of the system to be supported and developer of the items described. IFR Systems Inc. for diagnosis, troubleshooting and acceptance testing of the TS-4317-1 test set specifically designed the accessories to further support the military's tactical communication requirements. They are the only source known to possess the necessary expertise and the only known source capable of providing the required items. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals but for pricing information only. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to warrant and conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received. Any firm believing they can provide the above pricing for the brand name accessories should contact the Contracting Officer identified below. If after 15 days, no substantial correspondence is received, an order will be placed with IFR American, Inc. when funding becomes available for the accessories described above.
