Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST)has a requirement for th following items. 1)Custom Optical Table, doubled table top system consisting of two 4 feet by 6 feet by 12 inches RS2000 series optical tables joined end to end. 2) Optical table support system. 3)Tie-bar/caster system. 4) Custom optical table, 3 feet by 6 feet by 8 inches. 5) Optical table support system. 6) Custom tie-bar/caster system. Additional specifications are: a) Holes in the table top are 1/4 inch 20 on one inch centers, b) Holes in the table are to be individually sealed for ease of cleaning in the event of a liquid spill, and to allow gas purging of table mounted enclosures, c) Top skin is 3/16 inches ferromagnetic stainless steel, d) Vibration damping is the best available passive/broadband damping, and e) All table legs are rigid, non-damped with at least 2000 pound capacity. Technical merit as well as price will be used to evaluate offers. As the technical merit becomes more equal, price becomes a greater factor. Procurements under Simplified Acquisition Procedures ($25,000-$100,000) are set-aside for small business unless small business cannot meet the need at a reasonable price.
