Description

Aberdeen Proving Ground has a requirement for post wide custodial services. The Government seeks Small Business Administration (SBA) certified Hubzone contractors interested in this requirement. Interested contractors shall provide SBA Hubzone certification letters and qualification statements not later than 28 Dec 2000. The custodial service contract at APG covers both the Edgewood area and Aberdeen area. These areas are approximately 15 miles apart on US Route 40. The installation contains 72,000 acres with 214 miles of paved roads and 83 miles of unpaved roads. Custodial services are performed in 495 buildings of these 170 buildings are in restricted areas that require individual employees to have a security background investigations. There is 3,636,193 square feet of floor space that receives at least one of the following schedules of service: Hospital grade service, 5-day service, 3-day service, 2-day service, and 1-day service. There are 3 buildings which require custodial services during the evening hours and 8 buildings that require snow removal services. There is no public transportation available from Baltimore to Aberdeen Proving Ground nor is there any public transportation provided on the installation. The current contract has a collective bargaining agreement, which will become the wage determination for the follow-on solicitation.
