Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, Dallas, Texas, plans to issue IFB 50302-0110 for the renovation of the existing Sunrise Housing Unit and construction of new toilet and shower additions to serve approximately 800 low to medium security offenders located at the Federal Correctional Institution, 1900 Simler Avenue, Big Spring, Texas. The work will also include backfilling, compaction and regrading of the site after the construction of the new additions to the housing unit. Regrading and hydromulch of lawn areas will be required for those areas disturbed by construction activities. The successful contractor will be required to furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to complete the work within the performance period of 365 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 with the current size standard $27.5 million in average annual receipts. All interested sources are encouraged to participate. The solicitation documents will be available on or about January 5, 2001, with an anticipated bid opening date of February 9, 2001, at 2:00 PM Local Time in the front lobby located at the Federal Correctional Institution in Big Spring, Texas.
