Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) anticipates issuing a request for proposals (RFP) for Currency Finishing Systems that will consist of both Numbering Letterpresses and Cutting & Packaging Machines on or about January 9, 2001. The systems will be used to print the serial numbers, seals, and other printing on whole sheets and then cut and package the sheets into strap, 100 notes, bundle, 1000 notes, and brick, 4000 notes. This RFP is identified as BEP-01-07. The anticipated solicitation will consist of a base currency finishing system with options to purchase up to five additional systems. The applicable North American Industrial Classification (NAIC) code for this requirement is 3333298. This acquisition will be unrestricted with regards to business size or status. Interested parties should contact the Contract Specialist named in this posting to be placed on the solicitation mailing list as all relevant documents may not be available electronically. The BEP will provide electronic access (where possible) to solicitation documents on the website http://www.eps.gov upon the issuance of the solicitation.
