Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a sole source contract to Draeger Safety for the procurement of repair kits for the MK 25 Mod 2 Underwater Breathing Apparatus Diving Rig. USMC combatant divers use the MK 25 Mod 2 UBA diving rig. Draeger Safety is the manufacture of this rig and is the only known and only authorized source for the repair kits needed. Only those articles that have been successfully tested are qualified. Procedures are specified under SS521-AA-MAN-010 U.S. Navy Diving and Manned Hyper baric Certification Manual. Draeger Safety is the only company that has been qualified by cognizant authority to provide the MK25 Mod 2 Diving Rig Repair Kits. Note 22 applies.
