Description

United Defense is requesting support in the requirements = analysis, design, development, and testing of the software on the Crusader Self-Propelled = Howitzer Program. Interested parties should provide an information package = including a response to the below objectives as well as the basic philosophy on how personnel will be obtained to meet the objectives and the experience = level of each candidate. Objectives Provide engineering support of 6 to10 engineers to work a minimum of 12 = months starting January 2001 at the UDLP facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota to = perform the following task and appropriate experience as defined. Overview: The Crusader teams are responsible for the development of = software from requirements analysis through test. The main activities of the = teams are: Analyzing software requirements to develop, document and model software = using object oriented techniques including the use of the Universal Modeling = Language (UML). Modeling object oriented software designs using Rational Rose. Assessing the quality of developed software design through = participation in informal and formal reviews and analyses. Testing of the software. Consult with Software Architecture and System Engineering to evolve = system design and requirements. * * =20 The project uses OOA/OOD methodologies, utilizing the C, C++, and Ada = 95 programming languages. Tools used include UML, RTM/RDD-100, Rational = Rose and Apex on Solaris and Windows platforms. =20 Position Description: Participate on the Crusader Software Development = team in the development of software from requirements analysis through test. = Must be able to analyze requirements and work with system engineering and = software architecture to evolve the system design. Must be able to develop, = document, model, code and test a software design using object-oriented = techniques. Requirements and Skills: Must have a BS/MS CS/EE/Math or equivalent. = In-depth knowledge of the system engineering and software processes with = hands-on experience in design and development of large-scale, real-time, = state-of-the-art systems. Candidates must possess demonstrated oral and written = communication skills and have employed a personal process for planning and time = management.=20 Experience with Rational software development tools and Ada95 is highly desirable.
