Description

Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Region, has a requirement for construction work to be performed on the Headgate Rock Substation. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and material necessary to construct the modifications to Headgate Rock Substation. The work includes: removal and disposal of existing foundations, structures and electrical equipment; grading, excavation for foundations and trenches; backfill and gravel fill; gravel surfacing repair; construction of oil retention basins; furnish and install cable trench and galvanized bolted steel structures; construct foundations for steel structures, and electrical equipment; installing government furnished power transformers, voltage transformers, current transformers, vertical switchboard sections; disconnecting switches, and power circuit breakers; modify the station service system; furnish and install conduit, insulated conductor and cable, terminal boxes, pwer receptacles, distribution boards, bus systems, signs, and control cable; relocate power transformer to Headgate Rock Dam. The place of performance is near Parker, Arizona. This projecet is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The work shall be completed by December 15, 2001. The solicitation is a Request for Proposals (RFP). The proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria found in Section M of the solicitation and as explained in Section L of same.
