Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical services. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested under Request for Quotes (RFQ) #FAC-62. All vendors who can meet this requirement and have a valid Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS) are invited to submit quotes by 5:00 pm on January 10, 2001. This acquisition will be made under the simplified acquisition threshold of $100,000.00. NAICS Code for acquisition is 235510. The National Institute on Aging, Intramural Research Program, Gerontology Research Center, NIH, has a requirement for carpentry and shelving services including wall replacement, wall removal, suspended ceilings, removal of ceilings, door repairs, door replacement, furnish & install 3 tier shelving on walls (block & sheet rock) and on islands per statement of work. Location of the facility is on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Campus (behind emergency), 4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. The contract will be awarded as one line item and will cover work expected to be required over the next 12 month period. SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2001 @ PROMPTLY 10:00 AM, GERONTOLOGY RESEARCH CENTER LOBBY. ATTENDANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS IT WILL BE AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION IN THE AWARD PROCESS AS WELL AS PRICING AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. Wage determination No. 94-2247 dated 6/4/00 applies. Award will be in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. This request will be issued as a small business set-aside.
