Description

THERMAL INTEGRATED PERSONNEL SIGHT (TIPS). The Government has a requirement to procure a Thermal Integrated personnel Sight (TIPS) to add thermal viewing capability to an existing snipers day scope. The TIPS will use an un-cooled thermal system component technology. Additional components of the TIPS will include but not limited to, a visible relay, eyepiece optics, beam-splitting window with adjustment module, flat panel display, etc. The NAICS Code is 332995; FSC Code is 1095. Copies of the solicitation are expected to be available by 22 December 00.The Government plans to award a contract on a sole source basis to Raytheon Systems Corporation. See Note 22. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) for Contract awards and payments. USSOCOM intends to release the Request for Proposal (RFP) on the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command Interagency Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) web-site (http://abop.monmouth.army.mil/socom.nsf) on or about 22 December 00.
