Description

The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, has a requirement to purchase various types of Parachute Equipment in support of the Military FreeFall School (MFFS). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quotation number is W81R8T-0332-4600 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-20 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), 1998 Edition, current to DCN 20001213. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 314999 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The contract type will be firm fixed price. The Government proposes to solicit quotes for the following items: (1) 5 EA, Main Deployment Bag J-3, (2) 10 EA, Main Deployment Bag J-4, (3) 10 EA, Main Deployment Bag J-5, (4) 5 EA, Raven II-M White w/Microline, (5) 4 EA, Javelin Harness and Container J-5 (C-17) Black with "MFF" written in gold below 3 ring, B-12 snaps, Cypress Control Unit located under reserve flap, Bottom of Container (BOC) Throw Out Pilot Chute w/white hacky, large 3 ring riser w/velcroless toggles on risers. (6) Javelin Harness and Container J-4 (C-17) 2 EA, and (B-15) 2 EA, Black with "MFF" written in gold below 3 ring, B-12 snaps, Cypress Control Unit under the reserve flap, BOC Throw Out Pilot Chute w/white hacky, large 3 ring risers w/velcroless toggles on risers. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions apply to the acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items (Oct 2000); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Oct 2000), all offerors shall include with their offer a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3. All quotes shall be submitted to the Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Yuma Contracting Division, Attn: Ms. Marsha Garner, Building 2100, Room 8, United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) Yuma, Arizona 85365-9106 no later than 10:00 A.M. MST, January 2, 2001. As a minimum, offerors shall include with their quote the following information: (1) RFQ number, (2) company name and address, (3) point of contact with telephone and facsimile numbers, (4) a completed copy of representations and certifications, (5) price, (6) proposed delivery schedule, (7) sufficient technical literature and description to enable the Government to evaluate conformance with the technical requirements, and (8) a statement indicating whether payments can be made by electronic funds transfer or Government VISA credit card. Offers that fail to furnish required representations or reject the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be excluded from consideration. SEE Note 1.
