Description
The U. S. Coast Guard will issue a solicitation for the following services utilizing Simple Acquisition Procedures: Provide all labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform preventive maintenance and testing on the water softener systems at the Galley Bldg. 1658 and the reverse osmosis systems at Barbers Point Station, HI. According to the manufacturer recommendation and attached specifications. for disposal. Period of service will be 01 FEB 2001 through 30 September 2001. The Request for Quotation (REQ) will be issued on or about 10 JAN 2001 and close on 25 JAN 2001. The applicable NAICS 561990 and the small business size standard is $5.0 average annual receipts for the preceding three fiscal years. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Any interested parties should submit a written request for a solicitation package to the Purchasing Agent at the address above or via facsimile at (510) 437-3014. SPECIAL NOTE: For Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contract. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
