- Description
- The Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices, Procurement Services Division, Room 1310 _G,_ Suite 400 E, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20220, is seeking potential sources, on a full and open competitive basis, to provide for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information to be included in the solicitation notice, for the wireless cellular equipment and services for Treasury employees nationwide with optional international service. The solicitation will be open to any responsible, responsive vendor that meets all requirements of the solicitation. The SIC is 4812 and the small business standard is $5 Million. The Contractor shall provide services to include, but are not limited to, voice calls and related features such as voice mail, call forwarding, three way calling and caller ID as well as numerical and text messaging. The equipment and services provided must be reliable, ubiquitous and make use of current technologies. The equipment must facilitate the implementation of new services and features and be capable of incorporating technology advancements to ensure the usefulness of this service for the life of the contracts. The number of employees that may require service under these contracts is estimated to be 70,000. Services to be provided should include, but are not limited to, voice calls and related features. Service will include an unlimited number of Government owned and loaner cellular phones. Cellular phones may be added to or deleted from the contract without any penalty charges. Phones can be activated and deactivated without changing numbers if in same location due to seasonal requirements of work within the District. There will be a minimum of one and a maximum of 500 phones per Government Agency on this contract. The Government will award a contract using _best value_ methodology resulting from the solicitation to the responsible Offeror whose conforming proposal will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Department of the Treasury may elect to award a single or multiple awards, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) for the same or similar cellular phone equipment/services under the solicitation. The Department of the Treasury anticipates releasing the solicitation in January 2001.
