Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, has a requirement for 120 each FP-Serial -422, Fast Pack Two Channel EIA-422 Serial I/O Module. This is a sole source requirement for specific make and model commercial equipment from TEK Microsystems, One North Avenue, Burlington, MA 01803. The circuit cards being procured must be compatible with the UK ATWCS program. Strict configuration continuity must be kept between existing and future UK ATWCS computer suites. Redesigning the UK ATWCS configuration to be compatible with parts other than those furnished by TEK Microsystems is not possible due to the substantial costs already invested in the UK fleet and the impact on fleet readiness. Award is anticipated to be made by 22 December and delivery by 28 February 2001. A written solicitation will not be issued.
