Description
The contractor will be required to provide management, labor, personnel, materials and equipment (except those being specifically furnished as GovernmentFurnished Property) necessary to provide Logistics Support Services to the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California. The logistics support services are required on a continuing annual basis for the following major functional areas: (1) Central Issue Facility (CIF) including sewing and cloth repair; (2) Bulk Retail and Mobility Fuel Supply Points; (3) Ammunition Supply Point (ASP); (4) Installation Supply Support Activity (which includes Data Conversion and Files Section, Inventory and Adjustment Section, Central Receiving Point, and Storage and Turnin Facility); (5) Packaging and Shipping Facility; (6) Transportation Services (Operations); (7) Direct Support Supply Activity (DSSA); (8) AWRPS Brigade Equipment and Support; (9) Army Oil Analysis Laboratory; and (14) Operations Group Equipment and Support. The basic contract period will be October 1, 2001through 30 September 2002 with option periods which may extend the contract through four additional years. An initial eight-week phase-in period is expected prior to commencement of base year services. The Request for Proposal is anticipated to be issued on or about January 4, 2001 with proposals due on or about February 19, 2001. A pre-proposal conference, technical briefing and tour of the facilities is planned for January 22, 2001. A tentative itinerary will be provided as part of the solicitation. Interested offerors should limit their attendance to no more than two persons. The solicitation will be posted on the NTC Acquisition Command website, http://144.147.50.3/ac/Current_Solicitations.htm and will also be made available on CDROM; ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS via e-mail, fax or hardcopy for the CD-ROM version will be honored.
