Description
U.S. EPA ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY VERIFICATION (ETV) PROGRAM ADVANCED MONITORING SYSTEMS CENTER MEETING FOR VENDORS WITH MULTI-PARAMETER WATER PROBES The National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL), Office of Research and Development (ORD), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina 27711, and Battelle, Columbus, Ohio, are partners in the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program's Center for Advanced Monitoring Systems (AMS). The goal of ETV is to verify the performance characteristics of commercially ready environmental technologies so potential purchasers and permitters are provided with an independent and credible assessment of the technology they are buying or permitting. The AMS Center is focused on verifiying air, water, and soil monitoring technologies. The AMS Center's next vendor meeting will be held January 19, 2001, at Battelle, 505 King Ave., Columbus, OH 43201-2693. The meeting is for vendors interested in discussing the possible performance testing of multi-parameter water probes. The purpose of this vendor meeting is to obtain initial comments from vendors of multi-parameter water probes, as the basis for preparing a draft test/quality assurance plan for verification testing of multi-parameter water probes. Participants will be invited to comment on the readiness of the probes for testing, necessary test procedures, reference methods to be used for comparison, and possible test schedules. The meeting is open to members of the public, who are asked to pre-register. For more information about the AMS Center and vendor opportunities for technology verification or to register for the vendor meeting, contact Helen Latham at Battelle, 505 King Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201-2693, phone 614-424-4062, fax 614-424-5601, or email lathamh@battelle.org.
