Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD) intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis for the following equipment for the KC130J aircraft: Tee Handle Spline Puller (NSN 5120-01-454-1566),quantity 1 EA; Tee Handle Power Puller (NSN 5120-01-4541481), quantity 1 EA; Var Vane Adaptor Wrench (NSN 5120-01-455-5885), quantity 1 EA; Compressor Cleaning Hose Set (NSN 4720-01-455-6029), quantity 1 EA; Borescope Plug Puller (NSN 5120-01-472-4119), quantity 1 EA; Variable Vane Assembly Adapter Wrench (p/n 23068546), quantity 1 EA; Propeller Shaft Nut Wrench Holder (p/n 23060704), quantity 2 EA; Propeller Shaft Retainer Puller (p/n 23060705), quantity 2 EA; and a Propeller Shaft Flange Puller (p/n 23060706) quantity 2 EA; from the Rolls-Royce Corporation, 2001 South Tibbs Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46241 for specialized hardware required for the KC130-J aircraft. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), GAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. The United States government does not own design, data, technical drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should reference N68335-01-Q-0134. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
