- The combined synopsis/solicitation is modified to extend the closing date to 26 December 00. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0047 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and DCN 20001025. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 332212 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 1 Each Grinder ROGERS MACHINE CORPORATION MODEL RMC-1550HD Brand Name or Equal in Accordance with the following Salient Characteristics: 60" +/- 3" Length 19.7 +/- 2" Swing Capacity; Rapid Hydraulic Wheel Slide; Hydraulic Rapid Table Traverse; Hydraulic Wheel Dresser Variable Spindle Speeds; 220 Volt 3 Phase Electric. Equipment package shall include a minimum, Continuous Journal Sizing Gauges; 1-3" +/- .5", 3-5" +/- .5" Calipers; Minimum of 3 Wheel Centers; 6 grinding wheels; 2 Steady Rests; Wheel Balancing Stand; Hydraulic Wheel Dresser; Portable Crank Polisher; Reconditioned Crank Straightening Press. The requirement is for "New" or "Reconditioned/Refurbished" grinder. Any reconditioned/refurbished grinder must be "like new" and must meet the original equipment manufacturer's specifications. A Minimum of 1-year warranty is required for all parts & labor. Delivery is required F.o.B. Destination within 30 days after award. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane, IN. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
