Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-01-T-0020. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-20 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20001025. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7629. Small business size standard is $5,000,000. NAICS is 81121. This acquisition includes Contract Line Item Number: CLIN 0001 (Basic Year) with subclins 0001AA for routine maintenance, 0001AB for emergency calls and 0001AC for parts (the Government will assign an amount at the time of award); CLIN 0002, 0002AA, 0002AB and 0002AC, Option Year 1; CLIN 0003, 0003AA, 0003AB and 0003AC as option year 2; CLIN 0004, 0004AA, 0004AB and 0004AC as option year 3; and 0005, 0005AA, 0005AB and 0005AC as option year 4. The Statement of Work is as follows: ELECTRONIC MESSAGE BOARD SIGNS SERVICE, MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS, EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, CALIFORNIA, 1. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, parts, equipment, transportation and supervision to provide the following service: 2. Maintain five (5) Electronic signs of various manufacturers at Edwards AFB, CA. 3. The signs are located at: (a) Rosamond Blvd North, located south of the entry control guard house, sign manufactured by Multi-Media, Model #R5G10; (b) Rosamond Blvd west, located east of the entry control guard house, sign manufactured by Ad-Art, Model #; 36062; (c) Lancaster Blvd south, located north of the entry control, guard house, sign manufactured by Ad-Art, Model # 36062; (d) Fitzgerald Blvd, north side, west of Lancaster Blvd, sign manufactured by Multi-Media, Model #R5G10; (e) Forbes Ave at Fire Station No. 2, sign manufactured by Multi-Media, Model #R5G10. 4. Contractor shall provide all system software updates necessary to operate the signs and provide operator orientation/training for updated software. 5. Contractor shall respond to trouble calls within 48 hours. 6. Contractor shall maintain signs, including structural supports in good working order and appearance. 7. Contractor shall maintain subsystems, such as the lightning arrest system, power systems to secondary of transformer and controlling computer systems and their communications lines in good working order. 8. Contractor shall provide normal maintenance on a bimonthly basis in accordance with sign manufacturer recommendations. 9. The contractor shall contact the Technical Point of Contact (or alternate) 24 hours prior to coming to Edwards AFB for maintenance. 10. The contractor shall maintain and provide to the Air Force copies of service records when work has been accomplished, system software is updated and/or operating, service and maintenance manuals as they become available or when changes are made to these items. Period of Performance: CLIN 0001, 0001AA, 0001AB and 0001AC, 1 Feb 01 through 30 Sep 01. CLIN 0002, 0002AA, 0002AB and 0002AC, 1 Oct 01 through 30 Sep 02. CLIN 0003, 0003AA, 0003AB and 0003AC, 1 Oct 02 through 30 Sep 03, 0004, 0004AA, 0004AB, and 0004AC, 1 Oct 03 through 30 Sep 04 and 0005, 0005AA, 0005AB and 0005AC 1 Oct 05 through 30 Sep 06.
