Description

Contractor shall pick up and deliver engines for maintenance located at the General Support Maintenance Company, 2d Maintenance Bn, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The 6.2L GMC diesel engines are used on the HMMWV-A1 and A2 vehicles. Specifications include disassembly and inspection to the manufacturer's specifications. The engine and reusable components shall be cleaned with the thermal cleaning process. Replacement parts shall meet or exceed the manufacturer's specifications. Cylinder heads, crankshaft, and engine block shall be magnafluxed and reconditioned to manufacturer specifications. Fuel pump and fuel injectors shall be calibrated as a matched set. Engine shall be assembled to the manufacturer specifications. Upon assembly completion, the engine shall be tested n a Dynamiter and pass manufacturer specifications. A dyno run sheet shall be present with the engine upon delivery. The engine shall have a one year operation warranty and a six month shelf warranty. Approximately (25) each engines to be repaired between 01 January 2001 and 31 December 2001. FOB Destination. See Notes (1) and (2).
