Description

SPAWARSYSCEN, Charleston, SC (Code 544TW), plans to acquire on a Sole Source basis, an IDIQ, Time and Materials type contract with Cambridge Communication Systems, Inc., 44 Canal Center Plaza, Suite 320, Alexandria, Virginia under the Small Business 8(a) Program. This contract will support a broad range of Satellite Communications Support which may consist of: System Design, Systems Engineering, Information Management, Technical Training and Support, Hardware Logistics nad Maintenance, Fiber Optic Cable, Research and Development, Systems Operations Support, Lease Services (Terrestrial and Undersea), Installation and Operation Services, and Long-Haul Telecommunications Services (Space Segment). The purpose of this sole source contract is to provide a demonstrated capability; the capacity needed to maintain current initiativies; and the flexibility for anticipated additional support requirements. The contract resulting from this solicitation, N65236-01-R-0824, will sustain engineering communications support services for a period of one (1) base year and two (2) additional one-year option periods; with an anticipated value of $3,000,00. This acquisition will be negotiated on a sole source basis under the Small Business 8(a) Program with Cambridge Communication Systesm, Inc. A Top Secret Security Clearance is required along with a United States Facilities Clearance to the Top Secret Level. The Contractor is responsible for acquiring and maintaining seurity clearancs at the level(s) required by individual tasking orders. There is no other sources capable of providing the required support. This Notice is not a request for proposals. See Number Note 22. A Determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed actions based on respones to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
