Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with Blauer Tactical Systems, P.O. Box 278, Victoria Stn., Westmount, PQ, Canada H3W-2V5, which is an effort to provide the Government with seventy-eight (78) High Gear martial arts training suits. The Blauer High Gear suit is the only known source which allows combatants to perform the required movements in both offensive and defensive postures, and it is the only suite known to provide the protection, mobility, durability, flexibility and maneuverability necessary to engage in hand to hand combat. The High Gear padded suit protects the individual Marine while practicing high risk martial arts maneuvers. The High Gear suit also allows the user to work in offensive and defensive postures while not restraining their ability to react and properly defend themselves. The High Gear suit allows for total mobility, allowing for grappling and clinching weapons during defense training. The High Gear suit allows the instructors to create realistic scenarios, in realistic environments with realistic dialogue and realistic tactics.
