Description

Landsat Data Continuity Mission Workshop NASA and the USGS plan to pursue a Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) which will provide Landsat-quality data starting circa 2005-2006. A workshop will be held on Jan 9-10 at USGS Headquarters in Reston, VA to solicit views from science users, commercial users, potential data providers, civil agencies, and value-added resellers regarding this mission. While the overall approach to this mission will be presented, the primary purpose of this workshop is to provide an open forum to discuss the draft data specifications and potential commercial opportunities. Information on this mission, including the draft data specification and the workshop, can be found at the following URL: http://ldcm.usgs.gov/ Due to limited seating, interested parties are strongly encouraged to register for this workshop on the web site. Please limit the attendance from your organization to one or two representatives as we wish to accommodate as many organizations as possible. On the day following this LDCM workshop, the first EO-1 Technology Workshop will be held at the same location.
