- Description
- Request for Proposal (RFP) # AE92C01000 to provide Outreach & Admission Services, within New York City and Long Island,inorder to recruit eligible Job Corps applicants. Additionally, the contract requires a Career Developement Services System [CDSS] for "EXPORTS". Exports are students who did not attend Region I, New York Job Corps Centers [approximately 360 graduates and approximately 150 eligible former enrollees] who were serviced by Outreach & Admission contractors and are returning to live in the Job Corps Region I, New York Service Area [except Puerto Rico & the U.S. Virgin Islands]. This contract also covers also covers a yet to be determined number of graduates and eligible former enrollees not previously associated with Region I, New York but are returning to live in the Region I, New York Service Area [except Puerto Rico & the U.S. Virgin Islands]. The contract will require the the maintenance of a sufficient number of service offices in New York City and Long Island. This contract is Cost Plus Fixed Fee and is Set Aside-One Hundred Percent for Small Business Concerns. The Set Aside-One Hundred Percent for Small Business Concerns does not preclude a Small Business form partnering with a Large Business, when done in compliance with Federal Regulations. It is encouraged, but not required, that businesses new to Job Corps have the benefit of experienced partners or associates. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period from July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2003 with three (3) Government Unilateral renewal options of one (1) year each. The contract requires the minimum recruitment of 870 Females & 890 Males. At least Four Hundred (400) of the recruits must come from Long Island [Nassau & Suffolk]. The contract must be performed in accordance with the Job Corps Program Requirements Handbook (P.R.H.). The contract Outreach & Admission requirements cover the following seven (7) New York State Counties: New York [Manhattan], Kings [Brooklyn], Richmond [Staten Island], Queens, Bronx, Nassau, and Suffolk. CDSS is required for the seven (7) counties cited above and the rest of Job Corps Region I, New York [except Puerto Rico & the U.S. Virgin Islands]. [EST] at the Job Corps Region I, New York Office at 201 Varick Street, Room 897 New York, New York 10014-4811. The deadline for receipt of proposals is March 5, 2001 at 12:00 P.M.
