Description

Furnish exclusive use flight services consisting of one light turbine helicopter Bell 206BIII or equal in support of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in North Carolina and South Carolina. The contractor must hold a current FAA, Part 135 Air Carrier and Operating Certificate and be certificated under Part 133 and 137. Solicitation includes alternates for both contractor provided pilot and government provided pilot. The term of any contract will be one year with options for two additional years. This solicitation is being issued in conjunction with a cost comparison study in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility and cost effectiveness of purchasing a helicopter versus issuing an exclusive-use contract for one of the following options; 1) contractor owned aircraft, fully contractor operated and maintained, or 2) contractor owned aircraft, contractor maintained, government operated. Consequently, Solicitation No. 8001-20a for the purchase of a helicopter is being issued concurrent with this solicitation. The Government intends to award only one contract as a result of this study. Anticipated issue date of this solicitation is 01/04/01. Request for this solicitation may be faxed to 208/387-5780.
