ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Solicitation No.: 193045-01-A-0012 Prior Lake MN Main Post Office Project Number Y86856. THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS PREVIOUSLY PRE-QUALIFIED UNDER SOLICITATION 193045-98-A-0534 OR 193045-99-A-0131. On or about 12-22-00, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of a new Main Post Office at Prior Lake MN. Proposals will be opened on 1-30-01 at 2:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. NO INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL TIME OF AWARD -- FOUR WEEKS AFTER CLOSING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $2,130,000 and $2,510,000. Description of the work is: The project consists of construction of a new Main Post Office approximately 19,000 square feet. Location of the project is on the north side of Tower Street, between Duluth Avenue and Toronto Avenue in Prior Lake, MN..The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 360 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. AFTER 12-20-00 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS MAY BE ORDERED FROM KELLY BLUEPRINT. THE ORDER FORM AND COST (NON-REFUNDABLE FEE) CAN BE FOUND AT www.kellyblue.com. A PLANHOLDERS LIST IS ALSO AVAILABLE AT THE WEBSITE AND IS UPDATED DAILY.
