- Description
- The U. S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns only. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 23320 and the small business size standard is $27.5 Million. The acquisition is for the Expansion/Renovation of Station Point Allerton, Hull, MA. The scope of the project is to add approximately a 1600 square foot addition to the existing building that will house a 3-man office, a classroom and handicapped men's/women's restrooms. In addition, the 2nd floor of the existing building is being totally renovated to provide new berthing rooms with individual bathrooms, a larger command center and an office complex. A partial sprinkler system will be installed in the berthing complex. Minor civil work will be required to redirect water run-off from the surrounding site. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. However, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to dmiller@fdcclant.uscg.mil. In your response include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers; and, (c) a positive statement of your remaining bonding capability. Your response is requested by 02 January 2001. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted on EPS web site.
