Description

A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business firms to set-aside this proposed contract for Small Business. The proposed contract will be to Replace West Ramp, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Consists of demolition of the existing parking apron and design and construction of a new parking apron. New apron will be approximately 930 meters long by 158 meters wide, and will include asphalt shoulders approximately 15 meters wide. Project base will include a new hydrant fueling system which will reutilize the existing pumphouses. In addition, project will include new lighting and an intrusion detection system. Project requires architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, geotechnical, and fire protection design and construction. The project has two options: Option #1, Type III Hydrant Fueling System, and Option #2, Relocated and replace airfield lighting. NAICS Code is 234990 (SIC Code 1629), size standard is $27.5 million. The estimated cost range is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00 with an estimated duration of 759 calendar days. All interested Small Businesses should notify this office in writing by mail or fax by 27 December 2000, 4:00 p.m., Louisville time. Responses should include: (1) Identification of company as Small Business, (2) Past Performance information about completed projects of similar size and scope, and (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollars amounts listed above. NOTE: If qualified Small Business firms do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to full and open competition.
