Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested under Request for Quotes (RFQ) #FAC-61. Contact Pat Meise, 410-558-8043, FAX # 410-558-8319 or e-mail (meisep@grc.nia.nih.gov) for statement of work. All vendors who can meet this requirement and have a valid Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS) are invited to submit quotes by 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2001. This acquisition will be made under the simplified acquisition threshold of $100,000.00. NAICS Code for acquisition is 235310. The National Institute on Aging, Intramural Research Program, Gerontology Research Center, NIH, has a requirement for electrical services including installing new panel (retrofit), retrofit of 2 tube 227 volt light, retrofit of 4 tube 227 volt light, retrofit of 2 tube 120 volt light, retrofit of 4 tube 120 volt light, relocating switches & outlets and installation of 2x4 lay in lights per statement of work. Location of facility is on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Campus (behind emergency), 4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. The contract will be awarded as one line item and will cover work expected to be required over the next 12 month period. SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 24, 2001 @ PROMPTLY 10:00 AM, GERONTOLOGY RESEARCH CENTER LOBBY. ATTENDANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS IT WILL BE AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION IN THE AWARD PROCESS AS WELL AS PRICING AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. Wage Determination No. 94-2247 dated 6/4/00 applies. Award will be in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. This request will be issued as a small business set-aside.
