- Description
- The proposed procurement is an Unrestricted Request for Proposal. Provide runway centerline lights at Fairchild Air Force Base WA to the standards published in the AF Manual 32-1076 Design Standards for Visual Air Navigation Facilities for the entire 13,901 feet long runway, including runway touchdown zone lights from night lighting vault to provide power to touchdown zone and centerline lighting systems, hand holes, modify existing airfield lighting computer controls. Remove and replace existing 6 inch thick asphalt pavement along both sides of the runway keel inside the runway edge lines. Seal the cracks in the asphalt runway shoulders to keep water from seeping into subsurface of the pavement, prolonging pavement life and minimizing FOD. Replace with the new Air Force flexible pavement asphalt mix. AVAILABILITY: This Solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on CD-ROM format only. EBS CD-ROM disks with plans and specs available on or about 13 February 2001 at no charge per set. EBS CD-ROM disks will be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Refer to RFP Number DACA67-01-R-0206 when ordering. Requests MUST BE IN WRITING and be received before documents will be mailed. Requests may be made: (1) by fax to (206) 764-6817, or (2) by completing the web request form for the solicitation listed at http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/cntrct. An additional confirmation copy of your request need not be mailed. Please be sure to include if you are a Prime, Subcontractor or Plans Room. Submit requests by 9 February 2001. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and completion period is 120 days. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1731 (NAICS CODE: 235310). Project is open to both large and small business. If you are a large business and your bid or proposal will exceed $1,000,000 you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan. *For the purposes of this procurement a concern is considered a small business if its average annual receipts are $11.5 million or less.
