Description

NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request For Offer(RFO) for onsite Construction Services. The scope of this work includes, but is not limited to, HVAC,gas systems, electrical systems, communication systems, hazard assessments, safety systems, paving sewer systems, environmental assessment, insulation, painting, demolition,and construction of faciclities. Multiple awards are anticipated. Task Order, IDIQ type contracts are anticipated to be awarded. The NAICS code and size standard are 23332 and $27.5M, respectively. The order of magnitude for the procurement is approximately $3M/yr. per contract and the effort will be for one (1) year and a possible option of an additional two (2) years. This procurement is an 8(a) set-aside. [See Note 1]. This is a Cleveland District only 8(a) competition. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about January 15, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about February 15, 2001 The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 20. The firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFO. Responsible certified 8(a) sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
