Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested under Request for Quotes (RFQ) #FAC-60. Contact Pat Meise, 410-558-8043, FAX # 410-558-8319 or e-mail (meisep@grc.nia.nih.gov) for statement of work. All vendors who can meet this requirement and have a valid DUN & Bradstreet Number (DUNS) are invited to submit quotes by 5:00 pm on January 30, 2001. This acquisition will be made under the simplified acquisition threshold of $100,000.00. NAICS Code for acquisition is 332913. The National Institute on Aging, Intramural Research Program, Gerontology Research Center, NIH, has a requirement for Mechanical, Plumbing & HVAC services including sink installations (customer supplied sinks), installations of gas lines to hoods, replace gate valves, supply air & return air devices and air line to hood or bench per statement of work. Location of facility is on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Campus (behind emergency), 4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. The contract will be awarded as one line item and will cover work expected to be required over the next 12 month period. SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2001 @ PROMPTLY 10:00 AM, GERONTOLOGY RESEARCH CENTER LOBBY. ATTENDANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS IT WILL BE AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION IN THE AWARD PROCESS AS WELL AS PRICING AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. Wage Determination No. 94-2247 dated 6/4/00 applies. Award will be in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. This request will be issued as a small business set-aside.
