Description

This synopsis corrects the previous synopsis, which appeared in the 5 October 2000 Commerce Business Daily. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to negotiate a contract modification with Frequency Engineering Laboratories (FEL), 100 Central Avenue, Farmingdale, NJ 07727. The contract modification will be negotiated pursuant to 10 USC 2304(a)(1). The contract modification will provide three AN/SRQ-4 systems, with two options, each for one additional system. FEL is the only known source that currently possesses the in-depth technical knowledge of the equipment required to satisfactorily perform the work contemplated herein within the timeframe necessary to meet Fleet requirements. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
