Description

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center -- San Diego (SPAWARSYSCEN SAN DIEGO) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a Sole Source basis to JPS Communications, Inc., 5702M Capital Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27616 for purchase of the following items: one (1) ACU-1000 Modular Interconnect System and one (1) TRP-1000 Primary Interconnect Case. These systems were demonstrated during SEP 2000, at the vendor's expense, under a Sources Sought announcement N66001-00-R-5099. The systems will be used for additional testing, evaluation and demonstration. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interest and capability statements received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR 12.203 and 13. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 33429, and the size standard is 3669.
