Description
SOURCES SOUGHT TO PROVIDE CALL CENTER SUPPORT FOR THE NATIONAL PASSPORT INFORMATION CENTER (NPIC)- The Department of State seeks sources to provide call center support for the National Passport Information Center (NPIC). The NPIC provides general passport information and application-specific information to the public throughout the 50 States and U.S. Territories via telephone voice response unit (VRU), live Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), fax, mail, and Internet. This is a NO COST to the U.S. Government services contract and is a follow-on to a contract awarded to AT&T. NO APPROPRIATED FUNDS will be made available or utilized in the performance of this contract which is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The Contractor shall be responsible for collection of all user fees and for disbursement of funds for all contract performance costs. The government will not receive any distribution of user fees. The NPIC shall be self-supporting, using revenues generated from 900, 888, and TDD service. Potential offerors must have at least five (5) years of experience in managing and operating call centers within the past seven (7) years; in the last five (5) years, at least three (3) years of experience with one customer handling one million or more calls per year; and, at least two (2) years of experience in "900" or "800" service. Proposals may consist of an oral technical presentation and a written cost proposal. This "sources sought" announcement serves as a public announcement for this opportunity and will be used to establish a source list for the RFP. This announcement does not constitute an RFP and does not obligate the government to contract for these services.
