Description

The Umailla National Forest is soliciting proposals for the remeasurement of previously installed Current Vegetation Survey plots installed from 1993 to 1996. The plots are about 3.4 miles apart on a grid on the Malheur National Forest in Northeast Oregon. Trees, understory vegetation, down woody material, and ground cover will be measured. About 188 plots will be remeasured from May through September 2001. It is anticipated that the request for proposal will be issued on January 8, 2001 with a proposal receipt date of February 7, 2001. The inventory plots can be accessed by forest roads. Many plots may have a long walk-in. The plot packets can be reviwed at the Area Inventory Office at 1411 SE Beyers, Pendleton, Oregon.
