- Description
- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is interested in procuring an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for Quality Assurance Services to include, but not be limited to, quality assurance testing and on-site and off-site inspections related to construction, dredging, and shop fabrication work. Projects will be located within the geographical boundaries or mission assignments of the USACE Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, with the exception of shop inspections, which will be limited to, construction and repair of civil works and military structures, construction and repair of heavily reinforced concrete structures such as locks and dams, dredging, sheet piling installation, repair and painting of tainter and vertical lift gates on locks and dams, mechanical and electrical system installation and repair, renovation of office, maintenance and public use facilities, roof repair and replacement, utility installation and repair, site grading and paving, drilling, and soil, groundwater and surface water monitoring/sampling. The contract will have a base period not to exceed one year and four option periods not to exceed one year each. The maximum amount of work in each contract period will not exceed $1,000,000.00. The maximum task order limitation will not exceed $500,000.00. An option period may be exercised at the discretion of the Contracting Officer when the contract amount for the base period or preceding option period has been exhausted or nearly exhausted. Work will be issued by negotiated firm fixed price task orders. In accordance with FAR 15.3 the source selection method for this procurement will be by the "Best-Value Trade-Off" method, wherein contractors will submit both technical and price proposals. Award may be made to other than the lowest priced offer based on an evaluation of the proposals against the evaluation criteria outlined in the Request for Proposal. Award of the contract is anticipated for March 2001. Requests for specifications must be submitted in writing to the contract specialist at the above address or fax to 412-644-5109. Release of the solicitation is anticipated for January 10, 2001. Receipt of proposals will be 30 days from the date of issuance of solicitation. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business.
