Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks to increase the maximum hours under a current contract that includes Network Technical Support Services related to designing, implementing and maintaining the PBGC enterprise Network (LAN and WAN) environment to support the PBGC automated information systems. The services required include, but are not limited to: development, implementation and maintenance of the Agency's Novell and Microsoft NT Operating Systems Platforms; WAN operations support; support of the communications network; support of the computer security systems; Internet and Intranets support; and technical documentation. This is a continuation of work already undertaken by the existing provider. Due to the complexities of PBGC's technical environment, limited PBGC Government staff for providing oversight, and the time spent learning the work, it is PBGC's belief that it is in the best interests of the agency that the current contractor complete the task for the duration of the contract. This is not a request for proposal. See Note 22.
