- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington, has a requirement for the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Code MED-01, Washington, DC to procure accommodations and services for its Annual Resource Conference. The services shall include but are not limited to the following: (1) Lodging; Three hundred Twenty (320) single rooms within the government's authorized travel lodging rate; travel and lodging should be in the same building; (2) Capability of handling an additional one hundred (100) local commuters (expected daily); (3) Meals for all participants within government per diem rate; (4) Use of an auditorium capable of seating total conference population of approximately four hundred twenty (420) participants for five (5) days; (5) Four (4) computer rooms with twenty five (25) computers, seating twenty four (24) participants for five (5) days with T1 line for access to internet, presenter computer and LCD projector; (6) Administration office space to include phone, copier, three (3) computers and fax capabilities; Two (2) offices for detailer and specialty advisor (counseling) seating about five (5) participants, (7) Close proximity (approximately hour) to/from Washington-Dulles International Airport; (8) Shuttle service readily available on a daily basis for airport and travel within local commuting area (approximately twenty five (25) mile radius). The conference date is 29April 2001 through 05 May 2001 with check-in rooms being available beginning 28 April 2001. This is a commercial item procurement and FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5 procedures will be used for this requirement. The requirement is unrestricted, full and open competition. The resulting contract is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a base year and three (3) one year option periods. FAR 52.217-8 "Option to Extend Services" and FAR 52.217-9 "Option to Extend the Term of the Contract" will be included in this contract
