Description

Pursuant to Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637 (a) (1)) the Air Intelligence Agency (AIA) has set aside the following requirement as a competitive 8(a) set aside. Contractors are requested to identify whether they are HubZone 8(a) or 8(a) contractors. NAIC code is 513310, Telecommunications Networks, Wired, 1,500 employees The Air Intelligence Agency (AIA) wishes to acquire Engineering & Installation (E&I) support for routine and urgent communications-electronics, computer network, and intelligence mission systems and equipment requirements at selected sites throughout the world. Requirements to be performed include, but are not limited to: engineering and installation of telecommunications, computer networks, communication-electronics equipment, circuit restoration and upgrade, voice/data communication upgrades, equipment replacement or modernization, command mission equipment realignments and operational testing of equipment. For the actual performance of this contract, TS/SCI clearances are required. Offerors are required to have a facility in San Antonio TX. The period of performance on this contract is five years, with performance beginning 1 Oct 2001. A draft copy of this request for proposal is available at www.eps.gov. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at Base Contracting, Bldg 5450, ABC Conference Room, Lackland AFB, San Antonio TX on 18 Jan 2001 at 8:00 a.m. CST for the purpose of answering questions regarding this solicitation. Submit the names of all attendees (not to exceed 5 people) to Bill Kaufman, at HQ AIA/LGCKA, 251 Kirknewton St, Suite 1, San Antonio TX 78243-7034, (210) 977-2821 ext 9007, FAX (210) 977-2980 or 3945 prior to 10 Jan 2001. This information must be provided in advance in order to ensure access to the military base/conference site and adequate seating for the conference attendees. Offerors are requested to submit questions to the point of contact noted above not later than 10 Jan 2001.
