Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue an order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Anacomp, Inc., 13873 Park Center Road, Herndon, VA 20171 to obtain continuation of maintenance services on Government-owned Output Management Software and associated printers. The equipment is located at the SSA_s, National Computer Center, 6201 Security Blvd., Baltimore, Maryland 21235-6201. The monthly service will include maintenance for a Microfilm XFP MOD III printer, a XFP-2000, Model MF23 Printer and Output Management Software, Model 7R7X. Anacomp, Inc., is the only known source which can provide the required maintenance service. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. This synopsis constitutes the only announcement. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to publication. Unless another source capable of providing the required services respond within 10 days. Any organization possessing the requisite expertise and resources is invited to submit information concerning its capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA contract information, if applicable). Responses must be written (no electronic files, please) and Mail to: SSA, Office of Acquisition and Grants, Division of Information Resources Contracts, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21207 Attn: Wanda T. Owens. Any literature or information submitted as a response to this notice must contain enough information attesting to the capability of the product to meet SSA_s requirements. Respondents should indicate whether they are a small business or an other-than-small business concern. Respondents should refer to MICROFILM -- 2000. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received. However, this information will be used in SSA's assessment of technically capable sources. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited or received. If no affirmative written responses are received by December 31, 2000 an order will be issued to Anacomp, Inc. for the continuation of Maintenance Service.
